At alsecco, we work with many education teams
and schools. This project was a great chance to
showcase our Flexewall Impact System.
For the redevelopment of Divine Mercy RC Primary School, we used
our external wall insulation. Specified for its excellent resistance to
wear and durability, the Flexewall Impact reinforced render system
was also chosen for its wide choice of colour palette, enabling the
architects to design a striking new school for pupils, staff and the
wider community.
The school is a two-storey design, mainly white with coloured
render for feature areas, such as around the ground floor windows.
The alsecco system was recommended by contractors, Wilmott
Dixon, who had previously used the Flexewall system on other
schemes and had suggested its consideration for use on this project.
One particular feature of
the building, where there is a
spine wall of brickwork and
render which stands proud,
required a lightweight
render and alsecco worked
closely with us providing
specific technical input to
realise this particular design
feature of the building.
The system offers increased impact resistance, excellent weathering
and durability, and is ideal for detailing. It provides a wide
range of textures, colour and finishes, making it an ideal
façade for schools and other buildings alike.
